A wee dram is a small pour of whisky – the Scottish way of saying sit down, slow down, and taste something worth tasting. That’s exactly what we built on Main Street Minturn, Colorado.
Free tastes, walk-ins welcome. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 2pm, tucked between Vail and Beaver Creek.
The Wee Dram is, as far as we know, the smallest whisky tasting room in the United States. And quite possibly the coziest. We can only seat 8-10 guests at a time, and it’s first come, first serve.
People walk in and ask what this building used to be. A pub, maybe? Something old, something storied?
It started as a garden shed we had built on the spot as a placeholder for the distillery to come. Stef lovingly painted the exterior black and gold to look like a classic Scottish pub, built the interior by hand, and even created faux stained glass windows. Every detail was placed with intention.
It was never supposed to become the heart of the whole operation. But here we are.
Some guests come for a quick taste. Some stay for hours. And some sign their marriage license here.
